Our newest Mat-Su Youth Action Board member, Vasna Nou, attended the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority's 2024 Improving Lives conference on September 17 - 18, 2024.

The Improving Lives Conference was centered around the critical issue of behavioral health systems within Trust beneficiary groups. It emphasized data-driven innovation and promising practices to enhance the effectiveness of these systems, particularly for the Indigenous community. Furthermore, it aimed to fortify Alaska's continuum of care, demonstrating a genuine commitment to health and wellness across the region.

2024 Digital Art Media Camp

This year's camp focused on digital media and graphic design, teaching camp participants to create visually appealing content for digital platforms. By developing their primary media and digital skills, young leaders will gain valuable insights into this career field and even have the opportunity to partner with local organizations that require these skills.

We want to thank Bobby Burns for his support and collaboration as we embark on our new sponsorship with Alopex Interaction Design. We are thrilled to start this exciting journey together and are eager to see the wonderful experiences and opportunities this partnership will bring.

We're looking forward to future events that showcase our combined efforts and creativity. Stay tuned for what’s to come—we can't wait to share this adventure with all of you! Thank you, Bobby and Alopex, for being part of our team!

“The YAAB played a key role in every step of the YHDP process, including system modeling and drafting the Coordinated Community Plan (CCP), developing the Statewide decision-making body, leading the Request for Proposals (RFP) process, conducting consistent outreach and advocacy. They are actively engaged and vocal in weekly calls, on-site meetings, and in every deliverable.”
